Drive Pressure loss=HP gain?

Has anyone found a good filter so the boost gauge does not get plugged with soot when using it for backpressure readings?

EGR manifold???? It would be so sweet if I could find a 3rd gen manifold like that.

Here's my sweet ghetto setup, complete with a mini hood stack LOL I'll see how it will do after I get done with TS and DPC.

6.7 manifold.

If firewall clearance is too tight, there is another pad in the front, but it isn't drilled out. You could block the back port and open up the front one.

You're taking advice from the master of making less power with more mods, that's what's wrong there:hehe::hehe: I kid, I kid, all in good fun.

Just because my truck is a 'tard doesn't mean I am. LOL LOL

dont worry Double Overtime has a wastegate hood stack too.....maybe we can get a hot midget to pose on it since its a mini hood stack and then it would look proportional.....you know what they say Jason, size is only relative to the situation.....LOLLOLLOL

I just wanna have smoke coming out of two different parts of the truck LOL, good idea with the midget, I'll look into that one. Not an EGR manifold, just some creative welding!

Jason i will be curious to see how it works for you, hope it works well. Did you stick weld it with a NI rod or tig it with a sil. bronze filler rod? Remember also not to get carried away with the torque on those stock manifold bolts, it looks like a good way to break an ear off the head, good luck to ya, will you be at the TS race? If so come by my pit area and look me up......Ryan

I did neither. I got it from a guy who knows how to weld cast iron well. LOL I'll for sure swing by your pit, gotta see if that truck looks as good in person as it does in the pics.

I think I'm seeing gains with turning the screw to the left on the wastegate spring... I could hit 50. managed to burst to 58 almost once. I think the reason why I can't get over 50 is the gate is in fact bending (Htt, new style gate too). That coupled with the bore that may or may not be straight yet... I've managed to get the gate to be closed with some hammering and just recently started turned the screw back.. No more bursting past 50psi. just gets there and sits. I may have 5 full turns or what apears to be 1/2 inch of spring play now.

I wonder what kinda effects on things could have if 1/2 the cylinders are vented (due to the gate bending) and the other have not...

I see, and great looking forward to it..... see ya at TS. Are you going to watch and cover the event or are you going to get to play as well?

What angle does the turbo hang? Is it a downfire and rear offset like the 5.9?

Found a manifold I think. Will the port arrangement make the cylinder pressures unmanageable for the ones closest to the port?

I'm thining since one and six run slightly hotter anyway, it could only help whichever one gets vented.

Checked one out today. not a T3 foot btw.

Sort of...found out it doesn't seem to open on drive pressure alone! 56psi, ouch. Better check my bearings.

Let us know what happens when you get it dialed in. Im thinking of going back to an HX35 and id like to know what happens to drive pressure and boost when you get the gate dialed in.
