DTA466 turbo sizing options?

The dta-466 is an easy build.

s-300 is a 2.6 intake and will give you plenty of bottom end and still alot of power on top. There is nothing wrong with using a p pump instead of your m&w. They are cheap and readily available. If you get really serious with fuel you can put a quick cam in the pump.

Plan on using .093 lines now if adding a p pump or are any where over 400cc of fuel.
Long duration cam shaft will be a plus .

i'm talking to a guy that says his builder may be able to get 400+ out of the MW. we'll see what he says. i'd like to know where you find a cheap p pump all I find is $1000+. Where's the links to these builds???

The 'toothed' DV holders are probably the easiest way to tell the P-pump VS the MW.

The later model MW's have nearly the same looking DV, viewing externally. It would be harder to tell the difference for a newbie. The biggest difference is the AFC way up on top, instead of straight off the back.

oh duh. you got a different name on here than over on the diesel garage. haha I called your pump guy today, he was away. will I have to change the front cover or would the p pump off a later 466 fit my '88 466?

your MW cover and pump adapter will fit the p-pump. you WILL have to cut a notch into the top of the adapter to clear the rack nut on the p-pump. that's how ours was done years ago.

Everyone was telling me it's a different adapter, but I never tried it to see if it fit. That would help a lot of hot rodders out there!
