Dual VP44's

pretty much a complete waste of time IMHO

I'm sure people said the same thing when twin CP3's were in development.

If people are making 700hp+ #2 only on 1 VP, 1400hp or more could be possible with 2? Now were talking:rockwoot:

Where are you pulling that they make you run mod class with a p pump 24v? Why not pull with an org that allows it? Most of them do...

You could have both feed all 6 injectors, so if one fails it could still run.
Isn't that like telling a soldier with a M16, I know those tend to jam, so here's another M16 in case it does.

ya it would be twice the reliability right? cause most of the time the pumps would be running half as hard. like the dual cp3 kits

the welding lines would work... i had a sat that didn't have any holders on them and rubbed a hole in 1,... tig welded it up and worked forever...

They wont allow a p-pump 24v here in stock class.

Might as well have 2 rubbers in your pocket in case the mom is hot to, right?

The NADM rules for 2.6 require year specific fuel system. Also, this kinda crap is fun to me, I can see some great advantages for running duals. Mostly I haven't seen it done and I want to see it done.

Yes a second VP is going to cost money, and it will take some time to work the bugs out but thats okay. This is the fun part, figuring out how to make something work.

I agree, I want to see it happen. Something new, and level the playing field for us 24v guys.

I'm confused.

I guess I could go along with the fact that maybe in the 2.6 class 2 VPs would be desirable, but why would you need that much fuel in a stock class? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of the stock class?

The dual vp idea is good, but I wouldn't do it. Didn't jktcummins already do that before switching to the Dragon Fire?

Correct, a p-pumped 24v is not allowed, neither would a twin VP44 24v. So this is whole thing is pointless for the stock 2.6 class. But you underestimate the competition in the 2.6 class, as far as fuel needs go. Gotta have 550hp to compete in 2.6

Mod class here we come!!!

I thought that the whole "dual feed" thing referred to internal construction and not dual lines going into it?

Street class 2.6.

Is there a stock 2.6??? I mean there might be a stock appearing 2.6 charger but thats not what i am running.

ISP is "stock appearing 2.6" here. Kinda an oxymoron because 2.6 is not stock at all, Cummins wise.

Ok, 550 is doable on a SO VP

And like Limited said, is a dual VP gonna pass tech? That's not what it came with either...

It'd suck for you if you spent all the time and money to run dual VPs so you don't have to run Mod class, and still have to run it.

Agreed, ....BUT a truck that cam with CP3 can run dual CP3's. a 12v can run a 0 plate p pump. why cant i run dual VP's? its the stock fueling system. so i figure i am good. Now i am not claiming a 2.6 charger is enough to push dual VP's into the 1000hp class BUT, more fuel means more rpm. THAT is what i am after.

A SO VP44 can be very competitive in the 2.6 class. No need for more fuel for a 2.6 charger.

For an unlimited class however...
