Dyno tips

If anyone needs it I do LOL. Only thing I'm curious about is if my adr is working properly. Last time I dynoed there was no difference in power from level 3-10. So I soldered the pump tap wire and when I did that the truck got noticeably smoother but my boost and egt's don't change between levels 3-10.

Do the #'s still not change on different levels? I like the count to 3 method. Thats the way mine likes it....rolling into it!

Again...whats with the 1000 tune and not any 2000 or betas? Don't remember but are you on a virgin head and no retorque?

Tyler, if you aren't noticing a huge difference from 3-10....something is seriously wrong with your truck/box.

Start at 1900 in od brake boost it to 20 or more and roll in to it.

I haven't been on a dyno since I soldered it but I can't feel any difference and I'm pretty sure I should be able to. And I like the 1000 tunes for the driveability. The pump stretch is turned up to the 2000 tune level which according to quad is the thing that makes the biggest difference in power.

I know. I'm gonna borrow a buddy's box friday night and see if that makes any difference. You'd figure I'd be able to feel a huge difference by jumping that many levels. I've wanted to try this before but me and one other guy I know are running one and he lives in oklahoma so it's hard for me to swap boxes. I wish I had some roads to go play on around here and do some testing but sadly I don't and won't be around any roads like that until friday.

Best numbers on my truck were using 2200 Fuel stretch. Marcs truck was the same way. He has 150hp injectors.

Dang. That's high. I'll have to try that.

On a side note, looks like I may not even be going this weekend. The place I was staying at is cancelled due to rain (I swear god is trying to wipe dallas off the map) and I'm having a hard time justifying an 8 hour round trip and the $200+ just to be at a dyno for a few hours.

Get the pump in for the dyno in Tulsa then.

I wouldn't mind seeing Dallas disappear.

I'm thinking something aint right with the ADR.

Probably. My turbo is to small for that kinda power but should be enough to break 500.

Tyler... If you dont break 5 bills, we may have to change your screen name.

I'm afraid to ask LOL

Josh, I tried a drag comp before, no change. Only boxes out there I haven't tried is a redline and a juice. Done the comp, drag comp, tst/smarty, tst comp/smarty, tst comp/ez.

Lash your valves before you go, just to make sure they are in spec. It would suck to go spend the $ and not make the correct numbers just because some valves were too loose. Clean the air filter or remove it. And roll into the throttle, I think I saw a video of a dyno run you did a ways back where you completely smogged out the shop before the turbo got on top of it.

Good luck dude!

Valves were lashed 2 weeks ago.

I don't know which vid your talking about muddin dude but if it was back with the 11 holes then yeah, it was just smokey. LOL These new sticks clean up very quickly. I'll try the count to 3 thing. I've decided that I'm not going to the dyno this weekend so it'll have to wait, again, for another one.
