Exhaust pipe bolts---work stock class

To answer the original post, quite a few rulesets have it phrased " as close as practical" or " as close as possible" to the turbo. If the intermediate pipe is as close as you can get, that is probably fine. If you can get it in the downpipe, better. Both should get you through tech with a pat on the back.

Make a good effort, and be honest with the tech guys. They're just trying to keep everyone safe.

:thankyou2:

My plan is to put them in the first pipe after the stock down tube, before the second elbow if I can. They will not be used for daily driving so I need 4" of straight pipe for a band clamp to seal the holes.

if you are running stacks do you still need the bolts, and does it matter what size bolt, most sled pulls here you dont have to have them but I might as well put them in when I redo my exhaust in a couple weeks.

I plan on doing the bolts but I have seen pulls that DHRA does that I have had a few friends run thier trucks in it with modified exhaust and no bolts. These are also guys that do maybe 1 pull a year so they knew nothing about the rule but nobody even checked thier truck. I seriosly doubt around here anybody would check anways at these brush pulls. I am happy to comply with the rules as long as every year some tard doesn't try to get by with something a hurt somebody then we have another rule for it.
