F250/Cummins Swap

What're you doing for a shifter, does the factory column work with the 47re?

I'm still working on the shifter. I did the math on the length needed for the Ford column to match the 47re detents. I had the parts tig welded and I put it on the trans, but I haven't had time to play with the Ford side.
Turns out the solenoid in the dash to pull the column out of part needs electricity. ?

As for the fan, that's exactly what I was talking about in needing a bulkhead connector to give the wiring a solid anchor point.

Jumper power off of your brake light switch to your column shifter solenoid?

I just don't have batteries or under hood harnesses atm.

I powered it all up using jumper cables once before. I just haven't been in a hurry to finish the shift linkage.

I got the dual inlet 90° today for $10. Totally forgot to go battery cable shopping

I need to know the Sensor Signal pins for the inlet air temp/pressure at the ECM.

They are not C2-3 and C2-35 like my FSM says.

I pinned them to C1-13 and C1-16 but now I have a fuel level and a new P0108 code

Also, I found out running an odb2 query to pull codes actually sets codes, and sends circuits into diag. I got held up by this a week ago and pulled my harness off the engine over it. I hung the ECM off an 06 truck and it was fine.

I have a throttle now.

Let me know if you get the shift linkage to line up with the cluster as mine is currently off, park lines up but all other gears are off. Reverse is between p and r neutral is reverse etc.

Mounted the battery tray/resevoir permantly. Loaded a battery in it and set a path for the battery cable to the starter.

I haven't been back around to the linkage. I did atleast hang up the OEM Ford wiring to start hacking on it.

Progress is progress. Got my frame back from sandblaster, coated twice with Eastwood platinum encapsulator. Motor goin in this week. If u need any ford wiring diagrams let me know, I am a ford tech so I have connections.lol

There is an adjuster on the PRNDL indicator

That still wont line everything up with a dodge trans linkage points, i might take the cluster apart and have a vinyl shop print a gear indicator sticker with different placement

What about bending the bracket that holds the indicator cable on your column? Be a lot cheaper and faster. Just a thought

In my instance, I don't plan to use the 1st position since the 47re doesn't have that many detent positions.
I took a protractor and got a rough spread from P-1 on each trans, then overlayed the points to get the length arm needed to make the distances between the Ford column positions match the 47.
I can't remember where I ended up, but I bought a range selector for the Ford trans used from WIT and cut it, had it welded at the correct lever length.

And now I still don't know if it works ?

I bought a 5r110 shift lever but the ford cable clipped onto the 48re linkage so i only welded up a cable mount bracket for now, still trying to figure out my anteater issues

What issues are you having?

Software keeps freezing up on me, already sent it back worked fine for them. One of the engineers is going to try to remotely hook up tomorrow and try it on my end since he tested it fine in person on his computer

I ordered a 3.5" X 3" 90° elbow to fit the GDP intake horn. Looks like it is a winner. Forgot to take a picture.

The bigger issue at hand is the power steering pressure line being all contorted. I need a source for parts to either convert to AN or build a new pressure line. Looking for suggestions.

Hindsight do you wish you would of went with a 2 inch body lift to get some extra clearance?

It all fits reasonably well without a body lift.
In hindsight I would have tried to find a 6.4 truck to convert because I've had to purchase so many of the 6.4 parts to make everything work. 6.4's with cracked pistons seem to be more and more common, but they all seem to have 300k as well.
