Fastest MANUAL TRANS 1/4 mile times

Damm I am impressed then. I was running the same clutch as you 2 years ago when I ran my best time but I was only making about 550-600hp then. I made about 50-60 passes with that setup and clutch before the clutch blew up on me. You are having way better luck than me then with trannies/clutches. I'm in the process of building a floor shifted auto to put in mine now because I'm tired of dealing with the 6 speed/clutches breaking.

May I ask how you launch when you race?

Was your clutch a 6 or 12 button? Mine is a 6, thats what SB said would be best for me. That was 4-5 years ago when I bought it lol.

I brake boost. Hold the rpms at around 3,000 with my toes on the gas, hold the brake with my heal, start letting the clutch out until im around 15 psi or so and the "Tree" starts coming down and I slip the **** out of it lol. Im in 4x4 until 5th gear and i hit it out and for 6th im back in 2wd.
 
I think mine was a 6 button sprung hub but I'm not sure. Been through too many setups since then to remember FML. Your launch is the exact same as mine just wanted to check there wasn't something I was missing. Congrats on your numbers. Wish I could've gotten some low 12s out of mine with the 6 speed but I'm done breaking the bank trying to get there.

lol thanks man... Hoping to hit lowwwww 12's, smarty was only on sw4 and water meth wasnt hooked up. So we will see! Just gotta be smooth.

Nope not since we changed abunch of stuff. Went from 90's to Exergys 120% overs, Bullydog to Smarty 4.05A tntr, Single pump with arson kit to PPE dual fuelers, Ported and valve job, Silver bullet to E.D. Billet 66. I made 693 and 1183 with the old setup. So im not sure what kind of power its going to make, but with the smarty on 4 and no water I already beat my old 1/4 mile time.. So we'll seeee :woohoo:

Nice. You should be at least where I'm at if not higher since you have dual pumps. We have pretty similar setups and I think the same turbo. Mine made 743/1537 2 weeks ago so your prolly a little over that :rockwoot:

Sorry but I'll believe that when I see the video or time slip. Not saying it's not true but really don't believe the time unless his track is next to the ocean at sea level

Good enough for me. I'm not one to call bs on somebody since people used to do the same thing to me. Just hard to believe. Where is the track at that he made these passes? I'm guessing it's got pretty low elevation

Had another buddy with a 2006 running in the 13's also but has since sold the truck.
I'm sure he'll be back at the track with his new 6.7 soon. :rockwoot:
 
I believe it at that elevation with his setup. Sounds like he can get through them pretty good either way
 
I wish I could race at 515 ft, last time I raced the DA was around 9000. How much difference does it make with a forced induction engine?

Yeah you and me both. 515 ft would be awesome. It makes a pretty big difference on a forced induction engine. The 13.05 I have posted in here is from 2 years ago with my old setup when the truck was sitting around 550-600hp but the DA for when I raced was about 7600ft. Corrected for the DA, according to the site, mine potentially was supposed to be in the 12.5-12.6 range (not sure how much truth it holds). The website in the link below has tools to calculate corrected (estimated) times based on elevation and DA down to the exact time you raced at your track. I'll never know what my current setup runs in the 1/4 with a 6 speed tho. Ordered parts for the auto swap Monday.
