Fastest MANUAL TRANS 1/4 mile times

Sorry guys I'm on my phone having a hard time copying and pasting the list maybe someone can help me out?

That was in my 95 dodge dually. Nv5600 trans. Fuel only with a single S480/96/1.32 with a 2.8 bushing in it.

I had a hard time holding it back to spool on the line, do most of you guys use a line lock or something to launch with? I feel like I could have run a fair bit faster if I could launch it right off the light instead of having to roll 20 feet to get it spooled.

What RPM were you leaving the line at? From the little bit that I've driven my dually with an S480 single, its either nothing or torching the tires. I suppose 4wd would alleviate that a little bit.

And just my post isn't completely off track, best was 14.05@99 MPH. 2.4 60'. That was in my '98 12v reg cab when it had a 64/71 single and the 5 spd.
 
I was launching at about 4500 rpm. Once I had it spooled it took off like a rocket, didn't spin at all. I'll try and post a video later today if I can figure out how to do it.

Please change #6 (Darius Warne) to 12.64 @ 108.64. He had improved his time back in 2009 and nobody updated it. It was still #2 only.

BTW, Darius no longer owns the green xc/sb Dmax. He traded it in and bought a 2011 WRX. He is currently is one of the fastest stock turbo WRXs in the country....12.05 @ 112.14.

I went a 13.40@102.47 with a 1.89 60ft leaving with no boost....the next pass I left with boost and went a 1.79 60ft and the clutch broke!

Those are damn decent 60' times. What are you driving? Also if you want your time on the list you'll have to do it yourself. Copy the last post with the list on it and add your time in where it fits.

I have a 78 chevy short bed with a 12valve, 2wd with a nv4500. The truck has a lot more in it but it looks like I'm going to need a DD. The single just won't take the launches.

Running a 12.425 at 105MPH with a low tune on the Smarty, no water injection and tapping the brakes before the traps trying not to break out. We're getting there :rockwoot:
