Made my last pull for the year on sunday, I came out at 4700 and not 5k+ like I have been most of the year, but even tho I was off the clutch within 10' it did not lock up til about 75' or more, you can see the smoke as it loads and unloads the motor, and the rpms were going from 3900 to 4600 before it locked up finally.

I would go triple but the price tag is not for budget guys like me, I will have something that should work well for next year

That sure looks a lot to me like tire spin.

The tires instantly lit when you came off the clutch. I think you were just fighting for traction.

Look into a Kenny's Triple disc TJ. Might fit your budget better.

Time for Peter's new sintered iron disks! I would send mine off but hell I only have 8/9 full hooks on mine this year.

it was slipping, at the end of the track there was no pedal pressure, and when i put it in reverse it moved on its own and almost backed into the sled. after it cooled down its really hard to get in gear, it rocks the truck even with the pedal all the way down to the floor. im sure its warped pretty good from the heat. it'll come out this winter and get rebuilt before i sell it.

Your truck sounds really good!
I agree with the above mentioned...the tires grabbed right away...she was just fighting for traction.

I will get my video up tonight from the other side of the track.

Just smoked my clutch this weekend as well.

It never locked up at all, tires never spun. Pretty disappointed about, this 4200 only had 8 hooks on it. My 3850 before it had 26 hooks on it. Looking into a triple disk from either Kenny's or Power parts engineering.

the clutch? or truck?

Sell the clutch. That clutch was brand new this season. I think by looking at the videos that I have on YouTube it had roughly 15 hooks on it.

19 hooks on it, it doesnt like the heat of 5k launches tho, and i didnt ride the clutch hard this year, i come out of the hole and im off the clutch in about 10 feet. it hasnt been acting right for awhile, some pulls i would even give it a pump of the throttle, just enough to get it to fully lock up.

don't get me wrong im not bashing SBC, they make a great clutch, i just think they have their place

Dont feel bad tj i lost my clutch saturday nite also ive been having problems with it ever since i put this 4000 plate of valairs in and it finally let loose here is the video i had to let almost all the way out of the throttle before it hooked up n it just wouldnt hold at the end of the track
