So i race my buddy with a superchip on his 3rd gen, he completely turns me upside down and spits me out. WTF!!!! I dont know what the hell is going on.

Mods:
80hp Diesel Dynamic injectors
Hrvp by midwest injection
Adrenaline
built trans
raptor 150
1/2 fuel lines

He only has a superchip and i think an intake, why did he kill me? Im thinking its cause of my tiny hy turbo but i could be wrong. Since i installed the injectors i only see 1200* on the egt gauge. It used to get around 1500*. Better spray pattern? Does to much fuel actually cause it to run that much cooler? Someone help me understand, so i can sleep at night.......
 
because with a superchips only he's at about 400hp. youre not even at 350.

Anyways, is that whats holding me back my stock turbo:bang
 
well your in a 24v so no matter what you do theres gonna be a common rail in town that is faster so youll always be "held back"

but to beat an average common rail?
bigger injectors bigger turboS
head studs.
nitrous.


then your "built" trans is gonna be the weak link



common rails can throw injectors turbo and programming and be at 600ish if they know what they are doing. alot harder for you to do that imo
 
Def. not going to run nitrous on my DD. My tranny should be fine with a turbo upgrade, i am tho going to get some billet shafts in it before i get larger injectors. Ok so answer this, why am i running way cooler then i was with stock injectors?
 
no idea. and why no nitrous. if you do it right it wont hurt schit. you wont get beat by stock common rails with a superchips
 
Just give the guy with the CR a while, it'll eventually Melt down and then you won't have to worry about him for a while!! LOL
 
Adrenaline issues.......

Same injectors with a Drag Comp will touch 1400 when in it.......On an 01 w/ "built" tranny, SO pump and cute HY
 
Can someone just tell me why i hit 1200 with the 80s and adrenaline. With the stock injectors i would hit easy 1450 with just the adrenaline. I have checked all the connections on the Quad, everything is plugged in. Im running the 3000 tune that seems to be the smoothest on my truck, the rest are to jerky.
 
Welcome to the club... I was at a dyno day with my 02 with a 60mm hx40, 60hp injectors, hrvp, FASS150 and TST comp and did 436hp. Very next truck was a stock 07 dodge with just a Smarty and he did 425hp. Gotta remember we start out almost 100hp less than most CR's. He spent $600 to make the same horse power that I spent almost $3250 to reach.
 
unless i missed something your running a stock turbo? and your only seeing 1200 egt's. dont take this the wrong way but is your wire tap working? i can only compare to my truck and i have bigger sticks but with the comp turned up i would personally think something isn't right only hitting 1200.
 
I ran a hrvp,edge juice, airdog 150 on stock turbo and saw the same numbers. Now I got a hx40 and can barely break 1100. Of course I have stock injectors.
