well your in a 24v so no matter what you do theres gonna be a common rail in town that is faster so youll always be "held back"

but to beat an average common rail?
bigger injectors bigger turboS
head studs.
nitrous.


then your "built" trans is gonna be the weak link



common rails can throw injectors turbo and programming and be at 600ish if they know what they are doing. alot harder for you to do that imo


I wish it were that easy and that inexpensive..lol better have a good trans
 
Well I forgot the trans part but mine was at 600 with a smarty sps66 and 90's. Had other odds and ends stuff but that's the only stuff that was making power. Oh and a fass and billet trans.
 
yeah thats what mine was hell even stock turbo I was at 550. but it was hot 550..lol but yeah for basically 7k you can have a 600hp truck.

Never thought of that, can i just go to Napa and get it?

I called quad today told them what was going on, they said disconnect everything and reload the tune. I did all that still dont get over 1200* Tomorrow im gonna swap egt gauges and see what the quad reads. I wont lie it will set ya back in the seat but i think it should even more. I mean i do a boosted launch and the tires spin maybe thru 1st. Then it stops and goes.

Im gonna try a Tst powermax 3 tmrw or some other day. So hopefully we can tell a difference.

Heres a comp box for $200, and he has some 7x14s he wants to trade for smaller injectors... Sell the quad, buy the comp, try and trade injectors, then put the rest of the money from the quad toward a big single or twins.

I always ordered them from Cummins, pm Snedge he's a Cummins dealer on here.

Hey thanks man i pm'd him.

I kno its the quad for sure now, 2 and 8 there really isnt much different. On 8 i get maybe 4 more pounds of boost and only about 100 degrees hotter.
 
Send the ADR in to get fixed and I'll trade ya my edge juce ATT with hot unlock. Doyou have the fuel pressure sensor?
 
What a day! So i go to take off my quad to send it in. Well im undoing the tap at the vp and my pliers suddenly arc the side of the vp. Dont ask me how it did it, but it did. So now i gotta send my vp and my adrenaline off to get fixed.

Luckily Jared from Dominator Diesel is letting me borrow a core til i get mine back.

When it rains it pours!!!

Who told me so? Who said i didnt agree? I was just trying to think of other explanations. Just didnt add up that all of a sudden i put injectors in and it the quad stops working.
 
yeah trade your quad for a comp or juice and race that same common rail...............NOT..if anybody thinks the comp box is stronger than the adrenaline i will gladly put my truck in for a little competition against a truck with similar mods running a comp. I've ran both, and the adrenaline flat out kicks the comp and the edge juice w/ attitudes ass!!!!

Ya ive ran a few trucks down with a comp or juice when i had the adrenaline. But seriously if you read most of the big hp vp guys are not running adrenalines. I want something more reliable and less adjustable. I just want to plug it in and go.

I had a truck that I did the same thing on. We swapped the comp for a quad, and the truck deffinatley ran better... then the screen quit working, had it fixed, then it wouldnt come off level 1, had that fixed, then it didnt add power from any of the levels, ect... the point is the Comp will most likely have less problems. Like most have said, just get a drag comp, injectors, and a turbo, then you will have power. This screwing around with a box is a pain in the ass, just keep it simple.

Its been a while since I have had much going on with a 24v, but how does the ADR compare to a drap comp? I would think there wouldnt be too big of a difference.

Sometimes you just gotta get back to the basics.

Jamie (cummins724) did a back to back dyno on his truck with both boxes. IIRC the quad did 8 hp more than the drag comp. There is a thread about it somewhere...
 
I've never had a problem before with my adrenaline. I guess that's why i'm so die hard on it. And like i said i will put it on a dyno or a friendly road race. The adrenaline pulls harder, fuels harder, and is an all around better box than the drag comp. But i guess that's just my .02.
