for you monster vp users...

cumin_get_it, You would probably be somewhere in the mid 11's if it hooked, shifted, and stayed on top of the charger. Might hit 10's, but it ain't easy with a VP truck.

I wounder what kind of et my truck would have if it were set up for drag racing. Mike's monster stage 2 8x.016 haisley sticks .093 tubes and lines air dog 200gph with half inch fuel lines gravity fed via fuel cell in bed, billet S480 w/ race cover t4 w/3 piece exhause manifold, full port and polished head with valve job, individual intake runner manifold, a/w cooler, fully balenced rotating assy, cam that requires .050 lift. I'd think with a healthy shot of NO2 it would be around 10 seconds.

If you have 4.10's for pulling not very quick. A big issue with the vp is lack of top end do to lack of rpms. The fastest a vp can get mph wise is about 126mph with 3.55's and tires that hook. Last time I talked to Mike when I was big into vp's was a year and a half ago and he was supposed to be designing a new OD unit for the 47re to help gain more top end.

Mike's stuff runs the best in combinations with his other parts. His 6x.013's and connector tubes are the way to go controlled by a comp box no higher than 3x5 (might be able to get more with other setups but it taxes the pump a lot more and won't be as reliable). My stage 2 pump did 891hp on fuel with a T6 72 over an 88 on Brent's truck. On mine it did 713hp on fuel with a 66. The pump was three years old when I sold the truck.

Atv, did you dyno yours with the comp turned off? I'm about to try a redline when it gets back from Chip. It seemed like the timing was hurting my setup, but I won't know til I run it with this redline.

I dynoed with an edge juice set to 3x5. Mike has said if you run a box with too much timing it can actually retard the timing overall because the monster comes standard with more timing than an SO pump.

Yea, I was just trying to see what people have dyno'd with his pump and no electronics. Mine did 460, but only gained 60-70 hp with the juice or adrenaline on different levels.

That seems low, I did 474 with an so and no electronics.

I did around 630hp with a 64 over a 75 with no electronics. Did 678hp with the edge and a hurt trans. Never dynoed the truck with the twins and a good transmission.

I run the redline unlimited with smarty. I leave the line at 4400ish and pull down the track around 3800.

Mine did 673 with no box, 66 turbo and a 06 cylinder head. Thanks Steve B.

The monster stage 2 makes no more fuel than a SO properly chipped. And mike told me not to use stacked chips, we proved on the dyno that one chip cost us 150hp over a good stack.

I'm sending my head off this week to get checked out. I hope they find some issues that are causing my low HP issue.

This is innacurate. Why do SO pumps air lock when they have 240+hp injectors? The SO pumps limit on fuel is about 700hp and they are few and far between. Stainless diesel has done over 1000hp on fuel with a monster pump. There are probably 8 trucks that have done over 800hp on fuel with a monster. The stage 2 monster pumps make around 550cc's of fuel. An So makes around 300cc's of fuel.

^^^ I didn't know the exact numbers, but I can't see the SO flowing the same, even properly chipped.

I haven't run many tuners on the SO VP trucks I've had but it's hard to argue with three monster powered VP trucks in the 10's. With Karl's being the fastest at 10.43 on fuel with a 75mm.

what you guys call a stage 2 is actually a stock cam and plunger pump with timing and fuel numbers altered aka HR vp.Mike calls that pump a stage 1 .what he calls his stage 2 is the big cam pump with special delivery valves that makes 550cc+ of fuel and he doesn't make a stage 3. this info came right from Mike J himself ,and from the pumps of his I have had and dissembled because they broke that holds true.Maybe he lied to me ,its happend before. And I may be wrong on the so vs stage 1 but in my experience all 3 trucks the hp was almost the same when only the pump was switched
