Been trying to get secs for Helix -2 cam. Was told just put it in , no center line to install to.
Been talking to Jeff at Colt Cams ( http://www.coltcams.com/). He has been working with Zach at Hamilton Diesel on new cams for the Cummins , witch lead them to release 3 new cams and there specs! Can be had regrind or billet! At competive priceing! Finely a cam grinder that checks the factory and makes changes form a know point. And not the 1 size fits all!!!
Go to Colt cams and look at cam profiles, then Diesel.

link doesnt work.

When they say new billets, I am guessing they mean new cast billets??

Yes zstroken, cast UGl's. My canadian buddy has his own terminology. Cast billet as opposed to steel billets. By the way this is just a few of the basic grinds. We have many other grinds for specific applications, if a person knows pertinent information like what is their drive pressure to boost ratio, how much does their head flow at X lift and what rpm do do they want their power.

I think he's name is not Jeff ,but Geoff Bardahl

lift is not the issue cam timing and duration are. Depending on where the installed centerline is interference starts around 195degrees at .050" for the intake. Ramp rates also play a major role. If yr head or block has been decked all of it changes. Also lash can have a dramatic effect. I am thinking about having a saturday where we can install cams and dial them in to show seat timing and lift vs. crank angle. There are a lot of misconceptions about what exactly a cam does. Anybody interested?

Thanks for the vote of confidence big orange.

Millerlhc. I know I have never met or talked to you, you have been dealing with Geoff right? The DTR probably thinks it is a sneeky Hamilton comercial. Don't worry I am used to that kind of stuff. I hear don has alot of pull over there.

Don, in case your reading this keep up the propaganda!

I'd definitely come to that. All you have to do is tell me when and I'll be there.
