Fuel Prices, Pulling and Traveling

yup a new president will be much better. to bad it will take the 4 years to fix the 4 year bush fxxx up. then the new pres will look bad you get my drift! any way, the front office needs to get off the auto makers axx and let them make more fuel economy vehicle's. we all hear those stories where the vehicle's over seas get twice the milage as here. so yes our gov. does control us. this is not a free country. you pay and pay and pay. ok i'll shut up cause i could right a book on this subject.

Get off the automakers axx?? What are you talking about? How would them getting off that help.
 
Overseas cars get better milage because:
1. they have diesel engines that dont pass our emissions (thanks to california)
2. go to youtube and watch a video on a north korean car crash test you'll see why it gets better milage.

The locals dropped speed limits on the interstate to 55 on trucks for emissions.
55mph at 1800rpm for 10miles would take 10.9min. X 10miles means the engine made 19620 revolutions=39430 exhaust strokes
70mph would be 14400 revolutions=21600
This translates into 17830 more exhaust strokes per 10 miles so thier decrease in emissions caused more pulution and fuel comsumpton.

Same can be said about the new cars since a 12V got 20mpg and a 6.7 gets 12mpg. What can our government do for you?

Because he has his hand in the cookie jar of the major oil companies and refineries in his great state of Texas. He got into all that when he was Govenor. The money he is making as president ins't nothing compared to what he is making off the current price of oil and fuel.

Yes it is comiefornia that has alot to due with our retarded emission laws. My old 12v may roll the smoke if i want it to but normal driving on the highway gets me 24mpg. How does our stupid gov and the autistic epa figure that somethin gettin 12mpg and burning fuel to heat a stupid dpf is making cleaner air?? Its not! The gov is lovin these lousy mileage numbers because every gallon of fuel sold = more tax money for the gov. Hell my lifted k-5 on 38's get 12mpg and thats with a healthy small block.
 
Going to put a damper on my racing this year, heck I'm in the residential building business to boot, you all know where that industry stands. Remember sales taxes are xx%...fuel prices double, so does the sales tax.

Yea, some vasoline would be nice....I'm talking about fuel prices not that other stuff.
 
sorry for this but i have to rant!

i live i a town of 16,000 people, and i the last 6 months 2 of the 3 stations that have diesel have closed, a Murphys ( walmart ) and a BP, leaving a rag-head owned BP. one station in town with diesel and it 4.19 a gallon! the rag head owner is such a tight azz that there a total of 3 numbers for the sign for the 3 grades of gas, and let me tell you why, the poll they use to change the numbers snapped i half 4 months ago and the have yet to get a new one! WTF. better yet the 4 in 4.19 for the fuel sign ist made out of RED DUCT TAPE! needless to say i refuse to buy there and drive 7 miles out of my way to get my fuel, at least its cheaper

again sorry to the rant, this just pi$$es me off
 
Fuel prices have pretty much ruled out traveling to a pull more than 30 miles or so for me this year.

I ain't paying $4 a gallon!!!
