Gear Suggestion with 6 Speed???

well i understand that!!! its just that ive never even heard of them lol but how streetable are they? i drive 30,000 + miles a year and pull trailers around in the summer
A buddy of mines driven a street truck with a tripple and says it's nicer than the DD that was in it before.

500 miles, 3 hooks. Took it out because it slipped its self longer than I wanted it too. It would take a few more feet to get it to fully grab after I come off the pedal. With the bronze insert it probably would be alot better about grabbing up off the line. Floater plate is discolored but I have never seen one that wasn't after just a few hooks to the sled. I got a good deal on a 3850 SBC with the bronze insert, thats the main reason why I took it out.

well i would love to have your clutch!! let me see if i can find anyone to buy mine and i will buy yours in a heartbeat.... if you know of anyone that can use a super good single disk, never hooked, no trailers behind it yet, and all highway miles 8,000 miles on the clutch single solid disk, no harmonic springs or whatever they are called, feramic for the pads, 3400 plate load i believe its a prototype from a clutch place in lansing, MI i paid $800 for it

Not right off. Most people around her have no money lol. I am supposed to have it sold at the TS event to another guy, but anything sooner and its gone.

So a guy at a pull last night with a very good running CR said he pulls in 5th ??? Is that a little out of the relm or can you run a gear like that with a high hp CR ?

HIs truck proabably had 4.10 gears aswell. I have seen it done many times. 5th low on the 6spd is the same ratio as 4th low on the 5spds. (1:1 tranny ratio). But either way it does take quite a few pony's under the hood to pack that high of a gear. A few bolt ons and programers probably aren't going to do it.

That and he had a bad ass double disk or a triple, and a shot load of ponies yes!!! haha

Smarty revo, inj, ED S465,Stock CP3, runs very well. Guy from Pa. not sure of his name, he came to a 2.6 money pull in WV last summer and went home with 1st place and a cool grand in cash in his pocket. Anyway back to gears..lol

went to a pull this weekend where a 600 horse 6.7 pulled off a 5th gear launch on a Valair 3600.

These 6.7 have alot of torque but untill I get more power this 6.7 is staying in 4th.

yep and he was asking me about warranty when he did it, and i told him go ahead and try it, he tried it he did it and he then blew a boot.
the thing's beer will do LOL

I run 5th low with 4.10's. My iron giant only lasted 4 hooks last year before I smoked it. I run a triple from Valair now.
