What kind of clutch do you have??? and what did you do, just wind er up a little and just basically side step the clutch?? thats what it looks like

Bring up the rpm's to 4,000, let out the clutch. Not quite side step, but definitely not riding it out.

nope. just south bend's standard dual disk with 3850 plate load. Peter said it would hold up fine. I think I'm pretty easy on it.

speaking on clutches, how much sled pulling would a SB DD 3600 ceramic sprung hub take. I'd like to hit some pulls here local. Truck has around 450 hp to the ground.

Depends on what gear you run and how hard you are on the clutch? Seen some last 2 heard of some lasting 20? with 450hp I think it should last quite awhile if you go 4th low and not try to pull out something like 5th low.

The 3600 will last at least 10-15 hooks as long as you don't slip it out too long. Slip it just a couple feet and drop the pedal in 4th low and it should be ok.

Is the valair 3800 dd clutch still for sale and how does it compare to the sbc of the same size. I really wasted my mitchell dd clutch from my own stupidity. Will it fit the nv5600 shaft. Thanks

Yes its still forsale and is made fore the NV5600. It holds pretty good on the street, but it doesn't like to be slipped too long on the pulling track. Although you can send it in to have the bronze instert installed into the fly wheel if you want. Not sure how much extra it will cost from Val Air.
