This is the endless question, stock, o-ringed, fire ringed???? I am still interested in more info, I think I will end up fire ringing, but I am still trying to decide.

When I retorque I will start the truck and bring to operating temp. Shut down and allow to cool with the hood closed for a couple hours and then retorque. Engine is warm but not hot.

Head Sealing issues

I went with the fire rings, 2 years ago.
I haven't looked back-------
I did the start at 90 lbs, then 5 Lbs. @ hour till I got to 135 on the stands & 150 on the rest.
It takes a while but its worth it in the long run.
I read that Garmon does it with the head bolts a similar way.
