Im just saying had you done some research "ahead" of time you wouldnt be in this situation. Before i do something ive never done before i find out as much info on the job at hand before jumping head first into and screwing up more then had i known what i was doing by doing a little reading.

This is nothing. I'm just being honest. This site has thousands of years of combined experience all at the click of a search button. I just don't see why people don't use it more before starting on there project. You have to be a bit thick skinned around here also especially when you mess something up and obviously had no clue what your doing then post "guess what I did and how I did it" your going to get some flack. This is Competition Diesel not CF, TDR or DB. We hold or members to a little higher standards then those sites.

but i would have to say this is the first time someone has posted about changing their timing / adjusting their valves then junking a motor, then calling us harsh LOL

I enjoy doing the work myself cause I'm a cheap bastard but jesus man atleast get someone to sit there and watch you so you don't screw up another motor. I'm all for people doing their own work but if you don't know what you're doing get some help or a good supervisor. Oh and throw that protractor in the trash.

i suppose. an yeah i feel like an idiot when it all happened. :doh:especially when its my DD. an the motor isn't junk. just more money i have to shell out.
