huge single or twins for drag racing?

Get them lit fast, and they're not bad though...but nothing like my P-pump pulling all the way to 5K:D

Chris

definatly agree, .90 is WAY too small for a primary. I know a few guys running 1.32 t6's with great results, but we are at much lower elevations.

the other upside of the the 1.32 is you can get an s475 ETT turbo for under $600

thats what i also thought..
btw where can i find that turbo?:Cheer:

S475 with a .90 is too tight for any twins setup, except maybe on a 4BT...if you're worried about spool, go for a 1.10, or 1.15 with a T6 foot.

Oh, and I forgot...the .90 housing is fine if you are using the S475 for a top charger:D
Chris

you mean using a s475 as the secondary and a bigger as a primary?:what:

no, s475 as the primary using s300g or s362 as the secondary, people even seem to have good results w/ hx35, hx40, or he351 as the secondary, with wastegate work

forced inductions has them for 599
turbo daves has them for 595 shipped
majestic turbo has them for 585

Cam and head is stock still, yea i understand that part cause the hx35 started spooling around 1600 already and brought it up to 2000 in 10 sec or so hitting 21 psi, what my thought was with the s475 to spool it up with some nitrous! But i've never ran such a huge single thats why i wanted to hear everyone's opinion..

If you wanted to spool a big single sooner than the current .90 housings will allow I think there is a few alternatives besides nitrous. One, a quick spool flange like I ran. I wish I ran the truck with it on before I took it off because it was stronger with it on. I run an s468 which is a pretty big single, albeit smaller than what you want to run. Two, I believe there is some work going on on atleast planned for an s300 based housing with a t4 foot, s400 v-band outlet flange, and a tight a/r to spool. It's a custom piece.

BW makes a silver bullet, its an s300, 66/74/0.88 non divided T4, lists for under $1000

that housing is avail for 71mm turbines also.

Ok. I am of the understanding that the t-wheel on my s400 is not the same t-wheel of the silver bullet. :what:

Is the silver bullet t-wheel just a 74/83 s400 t-wheel?

as far as i know its the same wheel as on the john deere s400's that BD uses for the towing twins, its actually a clipped 73mm wheel.

here are the specs for the s366, same as the silver bullet

Wheel Dimensions:
Compressor: 66.1mm inducer, 91.4mm exducer, with exclusive Extended Tip Technology.
Turbine: 79.8mm inducer, 73.4mm exducer, with machined back-cut (clip) of turbine blade trailing edge, for improved turbine flow. Cast in Inconel 713, for high-temperature operation.

like nicktf said, what about a quick spool flange?

Garrett

I've sold mine. If I can't sell this s468 I will be ordering another one. It takes a bit of tuning with a gate to get it right but when you do it pulls like a mo fo. The truck would spin shifting from 2nd to 3rd with the quickspool flange but not without it.

I just sold mine for $125. Bran new they are half what you're talking about. You're likely looking at the one from sound performance, try Richard at Performance Metal Works. There are some others I think coming up on the horizon as well.
