Hypermax goes 6.69 @216

Not to take away from this thread about Hypermax and what they have accomplished but I am excited to see what Banks can do with the supercharged dmax rail. Hopefully I won't have to wait until 2014 or beyond to see it.
 
I comprehend this sport is expensive, im not going to derail this thread anymore talking about Banks' deep pockets.

Congrats to Jerry, Marty and everyone else on the team! And RIP Max! Marty told me the rail most recently weighed in at 3650 with him in it.
 
217mph @ 3650lbs calculates to 2530rwhp. 6.7sec at 3650 calculates to 1988rwhp. So there is room for improvement in elapsed time. Cool to watch, amazing to listen to. I wish i had the extra money and time to learn how to make an inline 6 rev like that(and make power up there). I didn't notice if they are using nitrous?

It was really cool to hear the story on the car and see the car set the record.Max would be proud. I wish I could have meet him. Jerry, Marty and the hole crew are great people. I got out on them and when that car went by me rattling the tires it was a sight/feel that was something that can't be described. Awsome run's and there is going to be some faster runs coming from that team for sure.

I think it's in their launch. It's hard, but if the could get a launch like top fuel cars (lol I know), their top end would handle the rest. And the weight. They're so damn heavy.
 
I was told the weight is about 3600 with driver, and the trans is a two-speed Lenco with a big shaft.

I heard different about the shaft which makes it even more impressive.
