i got the truck to a 14.0@97

id like a low 13 out of it with out gutting anything off. its got some heavy ranchhand bumpers and a transfer tanks and crap so...

anyways i gotta do it on motor mods

its about 1400 degrees thru the lights with little smoke after launchin it makin bout 50 psi boost

ideas???

lockup switch??

What is your 60'? And what do you mean drag comp slowed it down? With the smarty only it was faster?
 
60 ftr was1.80 i think..no smarty..fergot to change my sig for that one

back to back passes the drag comp slowed it almost 1/2 sec..i was surprised too...i thought it was gonna push me in to the 13's but it didnt
 
Huh so you ran that time with zero added tuning? ****ing vp's I swear. With a 1.8 you're definitely getting a good launch. You just need more power period.

how hard are you leaving the line?

stock manifold? t3?

what are you doing to get the fuel to the pump? fass air dog? line size? how many psi is feeding the pump?
 
Gary a lock up switch will get u into the 13's mine dropped .3 with just the switch. Give me a call if u have any trouble figuring it out.

i leave at 1000 degrees more than boost..its about 12-15 id say.
its a stk intake manifold
holley black for fuel delivery but it keeps plenty of pressure to the vp..never below 15 and its tapped at the vp banjo.
 
If you have a billet input id leave at about 18psi or so.

I leave the line at about 22psi

Lock up will help a ton, also do you have a bd top speed eliminator?

What do you 60' with your rig?
Changing up his launch is not going to net him a low 13. Judging by his 60' and overall et and speed his small end is already there. He needs to figure out what's up with the drag comp and find some more power somewhere.
 
i can feel the comp when im cruisin along and turn it off and on..and it will smoke more but it didnt make any more et...i know its odd....maybe cuz the pumps an hrvp??? overfueled..but i cleans up the smoke pretty quik

yeah ive got a bd rad....i have a billet shaft and a gorend cnverter..kinda tite one
 
how about 3.5 gears, borrow some stock bumpers, drain the transfer tank,what size tires
 
haha..i changed from the 355 to 410 cuz of the 35 tires..

aint stripping the truck..i run what i brung deal

i want it faster.... but right now when i leave werk im grossing 28300 of cattle feed..tank had fuel ..maybe 30 gal..didnt hurt that much...

i need some tuning advice or a diff power adder tuner..tst maybe?? blue chip fms ..no adrenaline tho...looking into a ats trans cotroller also
 
I'd have the drag comp checked out. Check out your wire tap. There's no way it can slow you down.
 
I agree something strange with the comp slowing you down. Those 4.10's may be hurting you. What rpm are you shifting at? I don't no your budget for your next purchase but the suncoast pcs standalone controller would get you your second. I guarantee it worth every penny.
 
Something is really wrong.My 8k lb 4wd dually ran 13.9 with a hx40, rv injectors and spray.Without a rad box.
 
yeah the truck has never performed like it should and ive posted numerous threads on it already to no avail...it ran a 16.0 with rv inj and a super b...
the new combo went 14 right outta the box...im happy with it but i know it shoould be faster..on another note towing home feed fri the truck accel;erates hard as hell with all that weight on it

yeah..im sorry i swapped the 410 in..shouldve kept the 355...they killed the mileage too. i know they aint helping....itll be the next thing i do...before a tuner or anything else im gonna swap a set back soon as i find some good ones ..
