If you have a billet input id leave at about 18psi or so.

I leave the line at about 22psi

Lock up will help a ton, also do you have a bd top speed eliminator?

What do you 60' with your rig?
Changing up his launch is not going to net him a low 13. Judging by his 60' and overall et and speed his small end is already there. He needs to figure out what's up with the drag comp and find some more power somewhere.

Same question for you, what were your 60' times at low 13's high 12's? I am not seeing why you guys think he's got an extra second all wrapped up in his launch?
 
It won't be made up in your 60 at least not in my op. I'm with you sand. Leaving a little harder with lockup will help though. If you have a friend with a comp box swap out and just check to make sure there is not anything wrong with yours.
 
10-4 on the launch...aint gonna git a sec in 60 ft time....it could be the comp i guess not helping out...i still think the truck outta run faster just on the mechanicals alont tho. i think the truck leaves real good....just runs outta steam pulling...cleans up the smoke right after it launches...ill look for some pics ..i got no video
 
You've got to load that pump down harder you load it the more it will pump. Where is it shifting? You might need to do some adjusting with the tv cable
 
see how qiuk the smoke cleans up?? more fuel?? the fast trucks smoke like hell the whole way down the track...but i got 7x10 with 030 lift inj and i would think id have enuff
 
my truck has 3.55's but the better you get out of the hole the better the truck is going to move down the track. check your wire tap and make sure it's working, make sure all your sub levels are on 5 some boxes had issues and didn't work on high unless all low fueling was set to 5. I don't think your truck weighs that much more than mine. My truck only left smoke when I spooled it then it was clean. lock up switch will also help.

Lock-up switch should be your next modification. Depending on how tight your current converter is, you could pick-up a lot of time, as in a full second.

My 95' Junker with a looser than stock converter lost 1.3 seconds and 10 MPH when I lost lock-up.

Then next pass, 17 minutes later so the fluid was still pretty hot, I ran 15 flat @98MPH vs 12.3's, that's almost 3 seconds and 14 MPH.

With a tighter than stock converter, I could still see you picking up 0.5 seconds with a lock-up switch if you lock-up immediately in 2nd gear.

My experience with VP44 trucks is that they run quicker with higher MPH when i would shift around 2700 rpm.


Lastly,
Can you post your time slip or at least list all of the split times. I think with more timeslip related information, we could figure out where your truck is struggling the most, I've got a feeling it's struggling in the 330' to 1000' mark, but post your time slip so we know for sure.

Send the drag comp in to edge and have them check it out for you. Its usually about 99 bucks to get it all fixed up.

Im not saying that he has a second all wrapped up in his launch but, it wont hurt for him to leave the line a little bit harder.

Yeah that will help him a bit, but it's only worth what a tenth or two off the top. That's what I was getting at. Sounds like he can make up a little in a lot of places. Hair harder launch, lockup switch.......
I'd have the drag comp checked out. Check out your wire tap. There's no way it can slow you down.
You ever check your pump tap?

What's that truck weigh anyway? I'm guessing around 7000. That would put him at 417 hp off his trap and 412 using his e.t. Does anyone think those numbers are legit? I'm no vp expert so I wouldn't know, should his setup be making 500+ or something? Just something to think about.

I mean is it not possible that it's a 420 hp setup and he is currently getting all of it?

You never answered when anyone asked if you had a bd rad or speed eliminator, if you don't have one I garuntee that Is your problem, But from that 60 ft time maybe not, I've seen trucks go slower with dragonflow vps, and I seems like the trucks I've seen with hrvps didn't perform that well... Got access to a sovp? Send that comp box in...
 
its got heavy ass bumpers on it and a transfer tank toolbox full of crap..its no race truck fer sure but i see others with less goin faster and just wonderin why that might be
