Ok so i got the trans built now i want alot more power, adrenaline doesnt impress me at all anymore. i dont really have a hp number but i do want to run low 13s maybe high 12s. I want it to be pretty streetable. i know i will need headstuds, any other supporting mods i will need?

A turbo would be a nice supporting mod. LOL

A set of 150's and a 62mm would get ya to where you wanna be.

I knew it!! That was my original plan but over on cf they said i couldnt spool it lol. Anyways so what should i do first?

If you can make it hook you will get 12's easy with a 62 and 150's I did it with 110's

Can it be streetable, and reliable?

One of the guys down here ckassen runs a super B special on his truck with 200's. Drives the thing every day, laid down 530 hp on an H.O. pump, and that thing runs great down the street. His is a 6 spd though, so there will be some difference there for you...

Clay my 66 and 200's are just as streetable as a 62 and 150's so you wouldn't have a problem with the 64 and 200's.

stud and oring your head, throw a 64 on it with a set of 200s, add some traction bars like youre saying, and hammer down! i wouldnt worry too much about anything "lettin go" since your tranny is built.. long as the head is taken care of, itll hold!

I was just gonna stud it i didnt know id have to oring it to

hell yeah! i drove a 62/71 with stock gasket and bolts with 150's for about 3 yrs, it drives well, I also drove a 66 for a few months and it was driveable too! i am back to the 62/71 with more fuel than before and i love it now especially with the porting I did! you can't beat a 62 for all around driving, pulling, etc....!

I would like to try a 62/68, E.D. claims the 68mm wheel pulls like the 71 and the 62 wheel with race cover flows like a 64

You don't need to o-ring the head. Just put studs in and you'll be fine. Been running studs only for 4 years with no issues and have been over 40si of boost for the last 6-7 years.

either a 62/68 or 62/71, the claims are; the 68mm wheel spools like the 65mm and flows like the 71mm wheel!

Like I said If I had it to do over I would have bought either a 66/68 or 62/68 from E.D.!

Ok can someone explain to me what each wheel does, and also how a different size will affect it.

I wouldn't go that small. Go big the first time. You can drive a 64/66 all day long with 200-240's. It might be a little pain at first but once you put the cam in it's like driving a 62 and 150's. Don't waste your money and/or time on a 62 unless you tow alot.

Could i still tow good with a 64?

we still towed 9000-11000 lbs. with the 6.5's and 62 with a major boost leak so I'm sure you could. What converter you running?
