Is it possible to be too cold?

not to steal the ops thread but I'm in the same boat. I ran mine this weekend and could never get any heat out of the charger. It started to pop and crack at about 200' mark. when I was done with the run used a temp gun and shot the water draining out of the box and it was 50* or so. What is the temp of the water after a run most of you are seeing? I either want to use less ice or take fuel out of it to get some heat built up. I used 110# of ice. I don't have a intake temp gauge yet but will get one. I have a video but it is of poor quality.

The water temperature does not have anything to do with IAT. If the water flowing through the intercooler isn't that cold, what's the point of even running in an air to water.

Yeah I watched my run. had some flame at the start then just sucked. Taking some fuel out if and less ice. You going to Redkey Raymond?

When I first got the XDP truck running it had a little 2.8 charger on it. After the chain was hooked I kicked the pumps on and went on my way. Moved up to an 83mm charger and knew not to turn them on til rpms were up but routine had me do it anyway. Truck wouldn't go over 2000 rpm's. Even turned them off and sat forever trying to get it to heat up and it woulnd't. Van sprayed it with ether to bring the rpm's up and off we went. Usually didn't turn pumps on until 3000-4000 rpm's after that.
This video doesn't show it all but I was there for a while trying to warm it back up. Shut the truck off and Van said noway he knows a trick LOL. You can see him running off the side of the track in the video.

Do they sell a sensor that has a higher range? Those only go to 300F, I'd want one that goes atleast to 600 on the turbo side.
