Is this a injector problem?

i took the IAT out to have a look. looked ok

ill have to see if the diesel shop has one of those i can try

anyways.. tonight it took the air horn and tube out to check if there was a blown gasket letting the boost out when pressure rised. gaskets looked good. put some new ones on

i did notice a bit of oil residue in the intake and the tube that comes up to the air horn. i assume it is coming from the turbo somehow..

at the risk of it running real noisy for a sec, unplug fca and report pressure, be ready to shut it off fast it will rattle like crazy!. without signal from the fca the ecm will fuel to max psi. other guys have input on this ?

Just a recap

loss of power when boost gets to about 16psi
18psi from air dog
15k rail pressure
idles and runs good
no codes
crank and cam sensor reading smooth

Items change/swapped/ installed

-TPS
-map
-FCA
-airdog pressure sensor
-install boost fooler
-removed all edge computer
-check air horn gaskets
-

Well today's entertainment included changing the cp3 pump

Still same problem...

There is a wire under the oil filter that can rub through and cause some stupid sheit to happen, have a look around under the oil filter up next to the a/c compressor and look for any wires rubbing anywhere, i was just under mine and looked like the one wire was rubbing so I pulled it away abit.

The winner is Smokem

As a last ditch effort I tried his request.

Take air filter off and go for a drive. No more problem

The air filter that was on there when I got the truck is not big enough so it doesn't have to get too dirty before it starts starving air

Just picked up a AFE dry kit

Nightmare is over. Double check the simple things next time

Old size vs AFE

Thank god
