Still down here at Garmons. Just did my 2nd torque and installed my F1 springs.

P0237 Boost Low code pops Every time I turn the key on!!!! Clear it, It comes Right back.
It want let the truck hardly move down the road!

Need help. Whats causing this code and how do I fix this tonight???
I Want To Drive my Dang Truck!!!!!!

What sensors could cause this? I looked at the boost sensor in the manifold and it looked fine. What about the one in my air breather tube? Haven't pulled it. Battery box in the way.

BTW, When I rebuilt this truck, i used dielectric grease on just about every connection. Was that bad? Thought it would help keep out moisture and conduct better...

Thoughts? Before I give up and have to wait MORE time to drive it!

Nothing wrong with dielectric grease buddy....Donut frosting would be a problem, but the grease isn't..

Dielectric is the problem...clean the boost sensor plug with brake cleaner and see what happens....atleast it's made problems for me...

I can try to clean it. I'll have to clean the boost fooler and mp8 haeness too.
Didn't think brake cleaner would be good for those connections tho. Will try it anyway.

Thanks

scott..... Lol on the donuts!!! You so crazy!!! lol

Yup, dielectric grease should never be used on weather-pak type connectors. Makes the connectors prone to leaking. I have also heard on sensors it can pass enough voltage to cause issues.

boost fooler have a loose pin or wiring connection, check when u clean them?

So def. Yes or No on cleaning the connectors with brake cleaner?

Thanks for the quick relpies fellas!!!

I prefer contact cleaner but brake cleaner is a good solvent. High evaporation rate and generally plastic and rubber safe.

electrical contact cleaner would be better... though it smells like brake cleaner. shouldnt hurt it, if u are worried quick shot of cleaner followed by compressed air to dry it out.

and if you think you have a contact problem, audi and volkswagon make a great contact improver that we use every day on there ecm connectors for the same reason.

unplug the mp8. clean stock wires and sensors, plug stock wires in into stock sensors with mp8 cables laying unplugged.

If if still dings the code when you first start up, move to validate the sensors working.

You can at least make 32psi before and over boost code. that would be a good thing to see at this point.

Ok.. I just romoved the mp8 harness and b.f. And just cleaned the orig connectors. Code is gone! Yippee!

BUT Now got a P1749 code ......???

It May be due to my TS shift master pulls power off the mp8 harness and its jacking up the tanny electronics.

Now gonna clean the rest and see.

Thx

Now that you got it fixed somewhat not that y0ou have it in the shop but use some tabasco sauce and it will help clean the connections. hard to believe but it does work.

Wow... it's up and running? That sure was an ugly pile of engine scrap just a couple of weeks ago... Somebody's been busy!

Ok, pluged everything back up and now f'n boost low code is back. Ugh!!

Gonna just try removing one thing At a time and see if i can narrow it down.
