What was up with the low compression 14:1 was that something that Jeff suggested?

Well Sorta.... He decompresses the 12v's and we tried it on my CR. It was fine and hauled a$$ but was little bit lazy on the bottom / off idle. White smoke was pretty bad in the winter after cold starts...But it kept boost low and was living at 800hp with stock head bolts too....only got the studs as a precaution cause I'm getting so freakin tired of working on this thing..just wanted all the insurance poss....

The 14:1 was a calculation after we did it (could have been as high as 14.5:1)....We cut .100 off each piston...plus the 24v /12v HG's are about .014 thicker than the MLS gasket which further decompressed it...

I went back up a bit to try and see if we could reduce the Rattle / Clatter and step up the low end a bit for the street....Low end / spool is a bit better but the Rattle is Still There:bang

I have a feeling that my ecm firmware is jacked after going through 3 different programmers....

Someday I'll buy an ecm and try that....maybe after changing sensors first (cheaper way to diagnose).......But for now, I'm just glad I can drive my truck.
 
I'm glad to see its back on the road...if anyone has been through the diesel ringer this year your close to taking top honors. :rockwoot:

Well I can't say this enough, but If it wasn't for Jeff Garmon I wouldn't have had the opportunity to be put through the ringer the first couple times....And this build is due to Jeff and a few other Very generous folks!!!

I'm truly blessed to have these type of friends. Several thats never even met me!!

If you keep getting boost codes, remove the boost fooler. The MP-8 boost fools and i think the BF can cause problems in combination with it.
