Just reviewing a few sled pulls..........

Brandon, Peter says you can put his IG triple in without all the bellhousing spacer plate and longer input shaft. You will just need to grind out the webing on the bellhousing, remove the washer from the pivot stud and possibly the plastic bushing on the slave cylindar rod to make sure the fork will realease. I know Terry sell that triple i pictured for $2400. Same price as the SBC IG twin.

Oh yeah they do as long as you dont mind the $3200 price for the clutch, then another $1350 for the Haisley spacer plate and longer input shaft. That is the rightway to do it, but you can also do it as i described earlier.

I am going to run a PPE clutch set at 4200 plate load with crower sintered iron disc. I didnt want the weighted pp because it is for pullers only unless you dont mind pulling your tranny to service the damn thing. As the clutch wears, you have to adjust it so that it will continue to apply proper load to the friction pads. The weights limit how far the fingers can travel. Plus depending on how it is setup, the static plateload is really light like 2800 and if everything work like it should, in lock up the plate load could be around 5200 lbs. As gene said, though, when the rpms come down, the clutch can unhook and cost you distance. Plus if you let your buddy drive it and he revs it up to impress some girls, it is going to engage itself which could be very bad.LOL

That aint no joke. My first time out with terry's dual disk weighted clutch in our gasser, I went to clean it out before the hook and at 4500 rpms it was wanting to leave:hehe: I was like what the hell. Then it hit me :bang

I bet a Haisley competition puller would hold just as good if not better than a Soutbend Triple Disc. I think dale said somewhere back that Kevin Cole was running that in his 3.0 truck and had 40hooks on it this year and was still hooking it. That's a truck making close to 1000hp if not better.

I know peter told me ted from powerhouse diesel was running the triple and so is Beans in his stroke.

I've heard of people gettin 75+ hooks out of a EEP dual disk!!!

I got 15 out of mine and then the int. plate cracked!!!

Man my auto trans is sounding better all the time! I got around 75 hooks on mine with just 2 fluid changes:rockwoot: Still goin strong.

you did the same thing at hillsboro......im trying to upload the video now but its not working very good cause these MWR computers are slow here in iraq......
