Leaking oil out of number one exhaust port

My money is on the head gasket somehow leaking oil in the vicinity of #1 cylinder.

could be havent had time to mess with it yet, it is a multi layer metal FR gasket

Buy this man a chicken dinner. He nailed it. I just did one last month that had the same exact symptoms.

How would the h.g. Let oil go past?

There are oil passages that go from the block and then into the head to oil the rocker towers, then splash lube the rest of the valve-train.

Have you performed a compression check? The results might (or not) help to diagnose the problem. Also a cooling system pressure test might be worthwhile endeavor.

I understand the passages from block to head, but where is oil going to get in the cylinder? I don't see it going past the fire ring. The coolant pressure tested good.
