Let's Hear you Water/Meth Experiences

I have discovered that you water down your oil if you run too much water at low boost and EGT levels; cruising at 800 degrees, 5 PSI is too low for ~.1 GPM.

I've also learned that water in oil apparently boils out if you let it sit for a while. Or maybe it just turns into rust.

How does this happen? I would think you would have more of a chance for water to enter the oil at high boost levels. The higher the boost, the greater the cylinder temps, and increased likelihood of blowing it down past the piston.

i have a coolingmist kit run a mix of 30/70 meth/water, only one nozzle right now, its not putting out enough water ill need another. got the 200psi pump my original pump was a 90psi pump, and it couldnt over push 50psi boost..

also if you plan on using wiper fluid, get a detergent free mix...

I'm considering putting my 325ml/min nozzle into the intake plate towards the back side of the motor to feed the #5 and #6 cylinders. Maybe help spread the load out.

was it to hard for you to under stand.... cumminsbus...or do i need to put it in crayon[/COLOR]....3 bottles of heet to every gallon of wwf.. what i was runnen... then then started to run.. by added a bottle and a 1/2. that would make it 4 and 1/ bottles...

I personally just run straight water for just cooling purposes on the track, 2-14gph nozzles in the intake horn...the possible negative side effects of running meth outweigh any possible performance gain in my view. And that fact that its illegal everywhere I pull. $.02

That's what I plan on doing. Spraying one pre-intercooler. One in the intake horn and a smaller one a little farther back on the intake plenum to cool 5,and 6. We'll see how it works.

There are some cooling advantages to adding meth, I was told by Matt that if you go with a 13%-15% mix of meth it actully cools more then straight water itself, and at the percentage there is really nothing to worry about.

I'm changing out my mixture to half water half washer fluid (-20 degree) this weekend. The -20 wf is 33% methanol, so I'll be running 16.5% meth with this setup. Maybe this is the best overall combo for safe operation with just a little bump in HP.
