what are most of you guys running or line pressure? and how are you measuring? I was talking to a transgo tech and he said dont go over line 210 psi of line at wot in fourth gear. said that there were problems with engine thrust bearings as a result of excessive line. not sure how yet but thats what he said.
Just wondering what I can really "safely" go up to.

Maybe the stock converter balloons up when line pressure gets too high.

I cant figure why. although if you run to much line on a stock piston it will flex and the lockup surface will be warped under load. but i cant figure out bearings.
so I think ill set it to 200-210 and see what happens

What lockup surface are you referring to?

My DTT with the Super Single converter run at about 205-215 at WOT, depending on condition of the oil and temperature. Higher than most that I've heard of.

I have heard over 210-220psi can cause issues with the pumps if I remember right

I assumed that was what you were meaning, but you never specified.

So you must be saying it flexes the piston when lockup is not applied then?
