Built plenty of race car trannys with them, never used one in a diesel application. My diesel isn't a race car so I prefer an automatically shifted tranny.
The principles are all the same.

What type of valve body/floor rachet shifter would you need to be able to shift to D and let it go throught the gears but if you wanted on the weekends or what not manualy rachet through the gears. Or is this even possible, can't really call my a daily driver anmore cause is always getting worked on then breaking...
