May 2nd WV Sled Pull

I hope everyone is keeping an eye on the weather :poke:

It doesnt look too promiseing

This is what their calling for as of today. Hope it changes!

Saturday: Chance of showers. Highs in the upper 60s and lows in the mid 40s.

This should turn out to be a very good location and event. They have enough clay to build two tracks. Concessions on both sides with plenty of parking. Stands built on a hill side for good spectator viewing.

70% Chance of rain, a little high for my likings for a 880 mile trip.
We'll see what happens.
Tomorrow is the deciding factor.. Over 60% we probably won't come.

All right here's the deal.

As of right now calling for 60 % chance of rain.

I live north of the track about 4 hours, we get pretty much the same weather. It has called for 60% of rain all week here. And it has rained everyday.

However, none of the rain was enough to stop a pull.

Elkins Motor speedway has every piece of heavy equipment known to man, if we get a shower, we'll cut the mud off and go right back to pulling.

So at this point, we are going for it.

The promoter, AJ Rockwell, and I'll look at it again, Friday am, Friday pm, and Saturday am, and post if anything changes.

I'll be there if I get my exhaust housing here. Chris from engineered diesel is overnighting it. No chance of the new tires though; they'll be here monday. Kevin and I went up last weekend to test and tune. It was a good time; very informative. Track hooked hard.

We just called it. We are going to the bar.. Too much left to do and its probably going to rain.

Just got the call, pull is officially canceled.
We'll try again at Elkins Speedway August first.

Next stop, May 31st RPMFEST!! LaPorte Indiana, Sunday, pull starts at noon.

Next affiliate event is May 23rd Franklin Indiana.
