modded '97 12v

well...anybody want to upgrade to a Dave G. Auto??? i'd be willing to swap that for a NV4500 with say a CON FE in it......i know i'm not going to get what i want for the truck....but i want something new to drive so any takers
 
I always wanted an auto but every time I price out the swap it looks like a guy would be money and time ahead to just buy a truck with the right tranny in the first place.
 
Not that I really doubt you but if you have two doner trucks how can that be i dont see a swap of two trannies costing anywhere near 5-8K dollars which i beleive what a fair truck would cost

ps. would the auto from my '97 work in an '01 with a 5 speed and vise versa? whats needed to make both trucks drive properly
