More RPM'S??

:kick:LOL That was the "New ERA" software. I heard the "REVOlution" software is due around 2040.LOL

maybe for the 3rd gen...none of it will ever be available for the 2nd gen.

i still am not one of the guys jumping on the quad band wagon (if I had an auto and was racing/daily driving it still, it would be a better fit) but at least those guys are still trying to do something for the 2nd genners.

I'm glad to see Quad working so hard for yall too.

4k is pretty easy for me though:D

You could just run the redline when you need the rpm and then turn off the redline and run the smarty for driving around.

thats what i do...i leave the redline off, i played with it enough and now i will save it for rare occasions and pulling.

i leave the smarty loaded in, but when the redline is turned on the smarty gets ignored as the redline takes control of the engine/pump on its own and ignore that there is even an ECM in the truck.

this acutally pissed the ECM off and it throws codes because it thinks the pump is going haywire and the motor is running away.

Actually, only the fueling gets ignored when you run the redline, the extra timing from the smarty is still there.

thats not what i read but it could have been wrong.

but if the smarty is not designed to run to 4k, then how much timing is it adding at 4k?

Not sure what the timing is at when the smarty tops out, just remember jetpilot telling me that the smarty would add the timing.

i'm dynoing it next saturday down at brett's on the same dyno the last runs were done.

I prolly should have held off on the redline cuz the smarty is supposed to have a new program sometime before 2027...:umno: :hehe::hehe:LOLLOL

did the printer work? *bdh*

hey Bob, why not post a 4000 RPM VP44 dyno sheet...that way we all have something to compare to the Redline.

or are we going to have to wait till 2028...when Unix does it's own version of the Y2K thing?

Ouch :kick:

How did the run turn out TJ?

Bob nice to see you overlook the 5 posts directly relating to your product and its timing effectiveness. For a second I was excited to see you were responding. Then I realized it didnt contain anything relating to what users of your product are discussing.

Straight from the makers mouth (Chip from Blue Chip)...when the redline is on, it ignores 100% of the ECM parameters, smarty timing doesn't mean jack, the redline basically makes the engine "run away" on itself and thats what causes all the codes in the ECM.

carchris how about you run both and post your results? yes, no,,,, maybe?

I will pay for the dyno time and a nice tip $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
