are you mechanically inclined? and can you afford to have the truck down for a while?

i would try to find a block and just rebuild the engine you could find a short block for around 1k and put the engine back together.

x2...but i would think you might be able to find a block a little cheaper

i like to think i am and i cant afford to have it down for long lol its my only ride and i like haveing no bills but i been thinking of buying a new 6.7 because i cant take another isb motor i mean between the vp 44 and the 53 block man i dont know what to do but if i do find a new block should i trust another 53 r should i look for a 55 block.

thanks for the concerns

If its not leakin too bad run it for a while. Just make sure your radiator is topped off. Save some money while your running it for a 55 block.

i just bought a quadzilla addriline and raptor fuel pump with a wix air fuel seperator and 150 hp injectors lol o ya and the bd valve body i have comming in the mail for my 47re with the ats convertor i will lose some money on this truck it has 231,000 miles on it but i tryed to take care of it for the year i had it lol

its not leaking to bad hardy none at idle but when u give it the gas it leakes the crack is about three inchs r 4 but sould i jb weild it r something tom im going to put some block treatment in it

i would look for a non 53 block...if you have someone repair it, you will be handed an expensive bill

try to find a 55 block to shove in her.. im sure you will loose alot if you sell it compaired to what you paid.. i would be calling local junk yards and stuff to see what they have kicking in the lot buddy

I have a 99 dodge with a common rail in it. I love it. I think thats the way to go but it will cost you a lil more money

if you started on a friday evening and work saturday and sunday you could do it as long as you have the parts you need there and ready to roll.

lake charles louisiana and that common rail would be the way to go but if i do all that i might as well buy a new truck cause i am tired of changing vps i can change on now in about 1 hr lol

coon smile thanks man im going to bid on that block on ebay lol maybe i can do the swap in one weekend

if your anything like me when it comes to working on these trucks....plan on 2 weekends (if working throughout the week is not possible) just incase you run into some problems

i ment if i kept the isb motor cause i know the cp3 injector pump is way better than the vp i mean its a high pressure fuel rail system how did u do that swap with the wiring harness and it must be a 5 speed r 6 right cause i know my truck has a coputor 4 the motor and another for my auto 47re tranny

My truck has a 250 hp in it but i would try to find a 04.5 or newer so you would have a 325 hp
