CAUTION! If you're looking to "swap in" a short block, be sure♠ you have an engine with the reluctor ring on the crank shaft for the crank sensor. 98.5-2000 engines have it, 2001-2002 dont. Someone i know swapped in a '01 engine to his '99 and is now into a can of worms :bang..... If your gonna build yourself an engine make sure to use the '99 crank!! $.02

to my knowledge the 56 and mexcian block are the strongest 24v blocks
