Nasty Injectors

Got a buddy who was having an excessively smokey exhaust and he pulled the injectors to find crud all over them. Do you think the waste oil hes ben running is part of his problem?

yes the waste oil will tend to clog up and get junk on the injectors especially if not cleaned really good. So I have been told.

I'll bet if he hooked up to a heavy trailer and pulled it over a mountain with clean #2 diesel in the tank, those injectors would look spotless on the tips and just a little bit of gooey residue farther up the nozzle near the copper washers.

Even if you filter it there are usually contaminants in the oil that don't burn so well.

Chit like this no longer suprises me on here... What are people thinking
