Need Traction BADDD!!!

I think for drag racing the Cal-Trac's are better but that's my thought maybe someone else can help you out, also the spring clamps are not a bad idea. Your main problem was the 45psi you ran

Well tell me a Brand or something. I just want some cheap steel rims.

get a good street/strip tire and some caltracs and learn to drive your truck at the track, learn where your tires blow off and where they hook. Your a 14? Second truck I don't feel you need slicks yet. Just sounds like you need more track time and do a little tuning. Buy a better charger and injectors

I understand, im getting Nitto Dune grapplers. The only reason i felt i needed slicks is because i cant really launch it from the tree with out spinning.

Someone needs to go back to cummins forum!!!!!!!!!!!!
**** that place

Honestly, you've got to be able to run down the track without spinning all the way to the 1/8 mile mark. I've run in 2wd before, just for the sake of the guy next to me and no, you can't launch in 2wd on street tires but you can peddle it a bit and still put more of your power to the ground. No need to brake boost to 10psi or more and boil your tires like a goober.

Let those street tires down to 15psi, will make a big difference.

I know its not the same, but go test it out on the street.

Ya i hear ya, i didnt even boost launch it. Getting some traction bars, cause i can build them for cheap. Then i guess i just need to practice running it.

Ya air pressure was probably a huge issue there.

What track did you run? A well prepped track could help as well. If it was the track in temple that doesn't surprise me. Also, 45psi in your tires definitely doesn't help. I dunno about dropping em to 15psi but at least 25-30psi.

Oh, learn to use the search feature clay. Makes you look like less of a CF tard. LOL

I went to seguin, i hate little river its a junk track. Ya ill use the search i just get excited:woohoo:

Little River isn't the best but a 6speed QC/SB 2nd gen 2wd ran a 14.2 there at 105ish when we were there on the 19th. Chris Kassen, he's at 520hp and even though the track was terrible he was still able to leave soft and peddle it some. I think you're on the right track, I wouldn't buy any slicks just yet, just practice a little more. I like to avoid the water box, if at all possible.

It was hard to avoid it with my long bed haha. We will get the hang of it hopefully.
