Next Pulling Season

Ive got you cornered Tyrel and I wont let you out without some money for my truck. Im fresh out.

HAHA! WOW! Alright lets try to straighten this out!

No they are not going to beat them hang with, 10-20 feet behind, as i said earlier, i sure hope they wouldnt beat them! I dont think they will get 100+ feet put on them! Sorry just my opinion! And im talking about a perfectly legal 2.6 truck!

Now a whole diffeerent subject! If those few 2.6 trucks were to say add water and a new 3.0 charger for the 3.0 class that they would have a chance in beating them! Key word in that sentence is chance, alright.

By no means am i talking about me! Even if i did add water and a 3.0 charger i think tarr would still put 50ft on me!

Fact: Purpose built 3.0" truck does not mean that it will run good.
Fact: I have seen 2.6" last year hang with 3.0" purpose built truck & I can bet u it will happen again.
Fact: Bill Gates has money to build a 3.0" army but without proper knowledge on set-up such as chassis to name a few it would be a waste of time.
Fact: Their are to many variables in this thead (What if's, What not's, Who is.) LOL

I'll spot you 50' and see what happens. haha.:hehe:LOL

sorry i couldnt resist

This is my point a truck that has been ironed out and a good driver that knows the environment I KNOW it will win but this is my point all these what if's can make a MOD truck loose to a chevette....

Well to change the pace a little bit, hows everyone feel about the associations and new rules/classes? For example i thought i seen DHRA put their 2.8 class back to allowing bushings. The addition of the 2.6 class to the ITPA. Anyone have any input on how these changes will affect them or affect other classes?

From what I heard Indiana has a RPM limit (GAY) and a exducer limit in their 2.6" class, I do not see a huge showing over their IMO.

Whats their rpm limit? I actually like the rpm limit in the 2.6 limit! (since i have a vp! LOL)

Im sure someone with more info on it will chime in considering I am no help on this subject.

I dont know, i just think turnin 6k in a 2.6 class is gettin a little ridiculous!

Well i dont really know to be honest. I'm from Indiana and the only rule ive ever heard as far as RPM goes is for workstock and thats 4500. The brush pulls though i havent seen a limit on those either. I havent heard anything or seen anything for rpm limits on the other classes. Maybe someone can enlighten me though.

I think some of the top 2.6 trucks will be able to beat the lower rung of 3.0 trucks and get close to mid-pack with the good running stout ones. they should be even more stout in 09 since most every place is allowing dual fuelers and going up from 2.5 to 2.6 Power will be relatively substantial for the top trucks in the class but still probably be 400+ shy of the top 3.0 trucks.

This thread is funny and I haven't been in it! tyrel has obvisouly taken over my account haha. I will say there is no way in hell the best 2.6 trucks will beat the best 3.0 trucks. Rod Tarr ITPA points champ and Kevin Cole CMPA points champ. I will say this I bet next year the top 2.6 truck will be able to hang with some of the 3.0 trucks. I am willing to put some money on it! Anybody want to bet? Also I have personally seen a 2.6 truck beat a 3.0 truck. Have it on video!!! Not saying he will beat him everytime but it has been done.

Mine and my brothers truck will not ahng with a 3.0 truck. Unless somebody wants to spot me 50ft then it might (just might:bang) be close!

Im saying best 2.6 and best 3.0. 50ft margin. Ill take that bet. A little depends on how long the track it. But Im still comfortable with that best Tory.

You guys are crazy. Are you judging because of dyno numbers or what? A 2.6 truck that puts down 8XX hp is guarenteed to be a common rail. No knock against them at all but they but up some crazy dyno numbers. I would like to see say... Wesley Wade pull against Rodd Tarr or Kevin Cole. Bet he would get 50 feet put on him. Great truck by the way Wes.

:bang gee thanks 50 feet!!!!! LOL J/K

Your probally right though, i dont think i want no part of them.

But we need this type of seperation, if the two classes were within 5 ft of each other then it kind of be pointless to have two seperate classes.

My goal next year ---> 2.6 truck competitive in both the 2.6 and 2.8 classes!!!! :evil:evilLOL

Wes, you are contradicting yourself! I realize that you were speaking of the 2.6 class compared to the 3.0 class, but the 2.8 is a class as well. you're goal is to be competitive (WITHIN 5 FT), of the 2.8 trucks so are you saying it would be pointless to have a 2.8 class? :badidea:
