i pluged a superchip, into the port under the dash of my 2000 dodge and it will not light the superchip up. superchip works fine on my freinds truck but my obd2 port has no "fire" its not geting voltage whats the problum or what do i ned to check?

Check all fuses. A lot of the time the cigarette lighter fuse is blown. I have seen some pins push out too on the OBD port.

I had a similar problem with a Smarty, other than I would get power but the Smarty wouldn't connect to the ECM. the problem ended up being a little corrosion on a few of the pins and one or two pins being pushed out of the OBDII port. I'd start there. You can pull the OBDII port our and shine up all the pins and make sure they are all in there tight.

Check the port for power (12V) I don't know off the top off my head which one is hot. Use a grounded test light and see if you have power.

how do you remove the obd2 port to clean the pins? is it got a plug on the back of it and bolts holding the plug under the dash?
