no conection under the dash?

I believe the plastic on mine just snapped into a metal bracket. I wasn't able to completely remove it from the truck but was able to let it hang. I'd have to look at it again to remember how I exactly did it.

alright. i call it cloth but i think were talking about the same thing. nothing agressive enough to remove material, just agressive enough to remove the junk and make the needles shiney?

Did you test for voltage on pin 16? If there's nothing there check on the back side where the wire hooks to the pin. If still nothing your problem may be further upstream...

will be going home saterday. how do u load a superchip? do i need to be moveing? truck running? never done this and would rather it not vin lock....

Dude are you being Fukkin serious? take it to a shop, they will down load your super duper chips.

a freind told me that he vin locked his superchip becaues "he had the hood open" and i didnt belive him thats why i was asking! ive never programed a truck and would rather not vin lock the superchip...

Step one, go to buddy's house
#2 grab him by the shoulders
#3 pull his head out of his ass

It's real easy man. Before you do anything just turn the key on and make sure everything is off. If its hot out roll the windows down. Turn the key off, plug the superchip into the OBDII port. Then follow the on screen instructions. It will have you toggling the key on and off a couple of times.

alright guys thanks for the info and help! ill be testing it tomarrow night when i get home from vacation in florida.

Then you have a wiring issue elsewhere. The redneck way to get around it would be to jumper power to pin 16 from another source...... but you should take it to a shop and get it fixed right.
