Ohio Pull Need Pullers!!!!!!!!!!

Guys I'll take a look at it tonight personally. Tim were you paid?[/QUO

The pull was for a good cause. I didn't pick up the money at the end thought it would be best if donated. Those that traveled great distances different story..

Talked with them last night they said payments and results will be out today, dont understand why it takes so long but with the way how long the event took maybe its understandable. i just have a question for everybody on here if you are pullin in a street stock class should you be able to pull your head light out? Every pull i have ever been to your not aloud. Just would like some imput.

NO!

It's a street class.

:thankyou2:how about weight bracket but no weights on trucks in the stock class.? there was a group that had a big argument about this? what do you guys think?

but with it being a street class the rules should have stated that the headlight was not to be pulled and the truck was to remain in stock form. There were no rules, and that is what created so many problems in the pits. Next year there needs to be a set of rules, and a non-biased official to enforce them. The lack of organization was unbelievable. Regardless of not knowing how many trucks were going to show, the rules for the event should have been created and posted before the event started. So once again on the headlight issue, no rules were posted so it seems to me that anything could have gone..

This is where true pullers understand the basic rules for a class and don't cheat. I'm not saying that the headlight is a big deal because it isn't. It's just an example. If you say since there were no rules and anything could have gone then why have classes. Let the mod trucks pull in street. It comes down to a general or basic understanding of the rules and following them.

That is exactly what i ment. I have been going to pulls for a long time and I know the rules for street. Yes i got beat by this guy that pulled his headlight in the pull off at the end of the night by 12 ft and he would of prob beat me with the headlight in but it is still the fact yeah they didnt have rules set other then just three mods aloud only exhaust, chip/programer, intake. And also why cheat at a memorial pull your a big man to cheat. Like tim said all winings that i will get for coming in 2nd will be being donated it was just a night to remember tim. And the winner was also geting a fass system. The other guys that were dq'ed from the street class had fass systems and that wasent aloud. One of the guys that this happened to was ready to fight every body and the other one was perfectly fine and said "oh ok i didnt know i wasent aloud to have that go ahead and dq me its the right thing to do"

Mech, I understand where you are coming from, but most pulls that are held in and around this are (N.E. Ohio) allow for FASS systems in the stock class... it is just the loop holes that some did not understand. And I agree with you completely on the fact that true pullers understand what the basic rules are, but in this area the basic rules vary from the different events, so who is to say that the driver was truely aware of not being able to take the headlight out and if that was the case, a track official, or someone running the event should have addressed the point to the driver prior to hooking...

By the way they stated the rules in the drivers meeting the FASS was allowed. It had to be counted as a mod. Three mods were the limit for street. Either some people didn't attend the meeting or couldn't count. So I'd say it was addressed before hand.

Thats all well and good, but the truck in question DID NOT have a FASS system on it. It had a factory air box,5"exaust and a chip... maybe pulling the headlight was the third peformance mod, even though with a factory air box it wouldn't have done much if anything track officials should have taken care of the problem prior to hooking, or DQ'ed the puller

I understand it didnt have a fass system on it but it could of had a intake on it but we will never know since as soon as this truck pulled he went to the back of the the infield for 10 min and then came back i mean it only takes a couple min to put a stock air box bace on just a little fishey when instead of staying up by the track like in the drivers meating they said for the top truck too do so they can be reteched for weight and everything else. And any STOCK TRUCK WOULD NOT BLOW AS MUCH BLACK SMOKE AS THAT THING DID

you have just proved your ignorance and lack of knowledge of electrical tuning of a truck...Thanks!

Yeah I do know alot about electrical tuning and if i wanted to spend alittle more money get the unlock code for my chip, get a downloader and stack my truck with two systems. Maybe put bigger injectors in cause they arnt going to tear my truck apart at a memorial pull you would only have two or three mods and how would u find the rest. Come out next year and pull in the street diesel for full pull or nwpa see how you do against some real street pullin trucks. Oh yeah you have to leave your headlight in for thoes orginazation's.

Dude forget stacking its called EFI Live. You can make a stock truck smoke like a frieght train. We all know that smoke equates to horsepower very well. Get off the head light deal. You think taking a headlight out gets ya 100hp or something?
