One thing led to another. Build thread.

Good lawd! Talk about a build and a half! Nice to see people still in it. Back to the beginning of the thread, (which I was never in competition of any kind) the diesel family is the best. I've met some of my closest friends through diesel and half of them are through this site.

I weighed almost every part on this truck. If I can be of any help, let me know.

At this point, I'm still waiting on a torque plate to show up so I can finish the machine work. I talked to carrillo at the race last weekend and am up in the air as to whether I'm going to keep it a 6.7 or long rod 6.4. All I have right now is a 6.7 crank, I'd have to buy a 5.9 crank or trade my 6.7 crank for it.

I'll trade you cranks if you want to go that route. All we would have to do is swap the drive gears off the cranks.

I had to grind one little corner on the front brackets. Like 3 seconds worth of grinding. The banjo bolts were a different thread pitch. If i recall, ones from a ford expedition fit it.

Do you have to use 2nd gen rotors on front and back as well or do 3rd gen rotors work?

Use 2nd gen rotors or turn down your 3rd gen rotors if you want to save a couple bucks.

I thought about putting it here, but decided against it for a number of reasons

If fits the headlight housing by a hair.

Nice! Cant wait for you to finally make a pass and all your hard work pays off. Nice half sleeve as well lol.

Looks good! What size OD is that velocity stack? How are you going to fasten it to the headlight?

9" od. I was planning on epoxy to hold it to the housing, but the taper in the stack made it a loose fit when pressed into place. I'll post pics when i figure out what i'm going to do.

This should take any slop out of the control arm setup and allow proper caster adjustment. Chromoly tubing, chromo rod ends and adapters.

The other factory arms will be replaced as well.

I traded my enclosed trailer

For this low deck gooseneck trailer. It is narrow between the fenders, but will work great for transporting our business equipment if needed. My race truck was going to be a super tight fit in the enclosed trailer, so this should work better for me.

I also got some boring work done. Cleaned up the alternator and injection lines.
