For some odd reason I just have this burning sensation in me to ask this question cause I cannot figure it out.......

I was at a pull earlier in the year in Hillard, OH to be exact I was standing near the start line checking out trach conditions and watching the trucks go down the dirt path. This 12V pulled up to the line 5 speed nothing out of the ordinary I just saw he had a huge 5" monster tach on the dash so I said cool I will see what he leaves at just to be nosey. He backs up hooks to the sled still nothing suspicious he begins to bring the rpms up and right off the bat something was not right. Their was this slight lope as the R's kept increasing u would of sworn it had an AG Gov. this lope was violent just like a Mod truck on the line it got worse and worse as the R's went up litteraly shaking the truck. He left the line at 5200 in this range this was with a foot operated pedal no hand throttle and at idle it was smooth. I am just curious what this would be or??????????? But as I said foot throttle, was smooth as silk at idle?

I know what truck you are talking about. I have not seen it run since he redone alot of it. I think powerpartsengineering.com does alot of his stuff. I talked to him last year and he wouldn't tell me anything about it except he was running tractor injectors in or something like that.

dont count out an ag gov.

Matts motor runs an ag gov and I have it setup on a foot throttle. it also idles quite smooth and only begins to lope as rpms increase.

I have also heard auto govs lope but it usuallly is different from an ag lope it usually is just a couple spots as the motor is brought up as oposed to the whole rpm range

I know him, Terry built all my parts from the tranny forward. I think your talking about Cliff Carnes with "Bad Intentions". My buddys truck starts it at 3500rpm, I am curious to as why they lope like that.

cliffs 2.6 truck not Bad Intentions, he doesnt run an ag gov but has done a bunch of work to the governor

That lope is sweet music to my ears. Terry at www.powerpartsengineering.com built the motor. The pump is a stock pump with a few tweaks here and there. LOL I know at the end of last season, it was turning 6200 rpms on the tach.:evil :rockwoot:

He let his nephew hook it and it snapped the end of the cam off. I do know "Bad Intentions" will be hooking in 09'.
