Guys
If you were going to a pull what kind of payouts would it take to get you there?? Paying back 3 - 5 places enough??
2.5?
2.6?
3.0?
Super Mod??

Thanks guys. Helping a guy out trying to put a pull together and just trying to figure out some numbers.

More $ the better!! Lol But around here, the payouts always depend on how many trucks show up, but usually 3rd or 4th get thier money back...

Just my figures... How close am I??
2.5 $750 1st , $500 2nd, $250 3rd

2.6 $1000 1st , $750 2nd, $500 3rd

3.0 $1200 1st , $750 2nd, $500 3rd

Mod $1500 1st, $1000 2nd, $750 3rd

Dont want to insult anyone Especally the Mod guys... I just want to know what would be a fair payout??

Full Pull's 3.0 prostock diesel purse:
1st $750, 2nd $600, 3rd $450, 4th $300, 5th $200, 6th $120, 7th $100, 8th $80

Full Pull's 2.6 purse:
1st $400, 2nd $300, 3rd $200, 4th $150, 5th $125, 6th $100, 7th $80, 8th $65, 9th $55

Not bad in my opinion. You have to have a good crowd to support a good payout. That's hard to do at small brush pulls.

I think it helps encourage people to show up if they have a chance at winning some money if they don't win. 3rd place paying $500 in 2.6? Sounds like a winner to me. I also know that lots of guys want to win their fuel money back. So if you string it out and pay something around 200 for 2nd through 5th, most guys would love that, and you'd have the same total with the incentive of big money for 1st. My 2 cents

Those are excellent payouts. Wish it was like that here.

Would be nice if every pull year round had payout like Rudy's!

^^^ agree.

I am organizing a event/pull for sept. Dyno, show and shine, and sled action.
Looking so far at to being atleast the same as full pull payouts but 2.6 also being 750ish. Hopefully goes up with more sponsors and attraction.

I will be posting info later when finalized.

Looks Like Rick has just fattened it up some!

750 – 600 – 450 – 325 – 225 – 175 – 150 – 125

Yea but they only pay back 9 places. LOL!!!!

SWEET!!! Then I would be good enough for at least 5th or 6th. I heard thats about how many show up on a regular basis around here now!

Ah fck it....I'll stick to my roundy round kart.....Cheap and stupid amounts of fun!!!!!!

Are you talking .5 hours of travel or 5 hours of travel?
Payouts often dictate how far your reach is.
If you have a large local talent pool then payouts can be a little shorter, but if you need to reach pullers who are going to be doing any decent amount of travel, then that will require a much taller payout (both dollar amounts and places back).

How far are you trying to reach?

We are really looking to draw more top trucks in to give the spectators some new faces/ rigs to see instead of the same ol local boys,, also trying to get several of the mod guys who might be interested to draw the crowd in even more.. kinda go out of the norm so to speak.

I love pulling but have never really understood why any club charges the puller? Do the music artists pay the event holder to be able to come sing? That being said I think Scheid paid $1200(ish) for first in 3.0 and probably around $2000 for mod if I had to guess...

I agree, I would show up to a pull with a two kids in the back seat that were under 8(probably half asleep), and numerous times was charged $10 each for them.

Heck, that's not bad, theres a few FPP events where our 2 year old is charged almost 30 bucks to get in the pits with us, but the driver and 1 person get in for free at most events FWIW. Id rather travel 8 hours to be rained out than travel 1 hour to pull with a disrespectful org that pays well, none of us are in this to make money, 300$ first place, 420$ first place, no matter what your in the red when you get home.$.02

Yeah, the roundy round guys are used to paying at the gate, for everybody, so the tracks think all pullers should pay.
I'm a guessin they don't make REBA pay when she comes thru the gate to sing!

Payout doesn't mean a whole lot, Outlaw payed pretty decent for Diesel trucks, still only averaged 3 trucks per event average.
