Please help, 12v running hot

funny i broke my temp sender when i pulled the head to. i priced one from advance and they wanted like 300$ ish for it. so i black rtv'd it works fine.
ever since i did my hg the temp stays at 190 now when its in the 60's or 70's outside and when its hotter out itll start bouncing around like it used to before the hg, ive just noticed that the temp is much more stable now and a hair warmer.

the bypass is necessary.

you also may have some air trapped in cooling circuit as well with as much as the system has been opened and closed.
So you think the lack of bypass is keeping it so cool? I live on the gulf coast and can deal without a scalding hot heater.
start the truck cold with the radiator cap off and block off the coolers with something solid. Once it hits 180 or so and the t-stat opens up the fluid level should drop and force the air out. Top it off and let it run watching the gauge for 15 minutes or so and see what happens.
That's pretty much how I did it earlier but only ran it for 10 minutes. I waited until it dropped to open it. There was no way the t-stat cycled but with the bypass just open I would think it would force the air out.

Evey parts store in town told me they couldn't get them. I found one local for $60 I am gonna pick up tomorrow though.
