possible head gasket leak?

I have a new oil leak dripping under the oil filter/turbo oil return, it seems to be worse after running the truck hard! it's also leaking under the bellhousing

It looks wet right under the head on the front of the engine, and i am getting some oil around the same area on the back, but in between it's dry!

the oil on the front could be from the puke bottle but i can't tell! there is oil all over the front and left front side of the block!

any help or ways to eliminate possibilities would be great!

there is no oil going thru the head gasket on the pass side of the motor. it is all on the drivers side. it my be coming with oil filter housing or valve cover.

I had a weird failure that brought the oil up to the front of the head/block.

The drips while fueling is what tipped me off to it.

I certaintly wouldn't rule it out.. You could do a used oil analysis to see if you have coolant in the oil, but if you have reason to beleive you may have lost the gasket.. Then it probably is gone.

It doesn't appear to be coming from the valve cover gasket, it starts to look wet right under the head on the front but on the back it's very hard to tell! I checked the oil filter and it isn't leaking,

it is dirty around the turbo return, but it doesn't appear to be leaking

power wash everything and drive it for a couple of days what ever is leaking it will show up.
are you going to steele friday night? we should be going to do some test passes with the new triple turbos. be there around 9pm.

the front leak: there is oil right where the head and timingcover are, but the rear leak I still can't find! dye won't tell me which it is coming from so is there any sure fire ways without diggin in and tearing apart

Thats where mine was leaking. When I pulled the head, it was toast toast.

Sounds like it is probalby time to pull it.

the front leak sounds like it could be the gasket. the rear could be coming out on the driver side and running around to the pass side. pull head and change gasket. 3 hour job.

fire ring it and be done with it. cost is the same for machine work. they will hold a hell of alot better. i did vance's with firering and its still poking around. not very fast but good for a fat kid.

well i might! I'm not gonna pull the head just for the hell of it though! i have no clue how else to make sure it is it though?

if you got oil coming out aroud the gasket then it is a good chance that is it. keep running it and you will be putting a motor in it. water and oil dont like each other.

it is still running fine, is there another way to tell? It don't appear to be losing coolant, or much oil, just a few drops hear and there

Doesn't look like a head gasket problem to me.
Breather pipe/puke bottle oil can show up anywhere...I have some on the radiator shroud.

damn i hope not but the thing that gets me is that there is oil in the crease where the head meets to block on the front! the puke tube is routed down low

Like I said.. That is exactly where mine failed.

No coolant in oil, no oil in coolant...

But, I caught it pretty quick. I think I blew it on the dyno in Spokane on Sunday, and I caught it dripping Monday morning...

So, it is possible that there was coolant getting into the oil, or vise versa.. But I only had about 100 miles on the truck before I pulled the head.
