possible head gasket leak?

Looks like it is coming along great!!

Now is a perfect time to take care of all that stuff.. Clean, paint, do whatever you've ever wanted to get done while your waiting on everything!

Did you decide to o-ring it?

What does the machinest mean by "He didn't really say how much he though he would take off, but he did say he would make the valves match it!" ? He shouldn't need to do anything to the valves... I can't remember the exact number, but you can re-surface a cummins head more than once, and you can take off something like .01 each time and still be within spec.

What gasket did you decide to go with? Jeff hooked me up with all of my gaskets when I pulled mine.. Don't let him hear this, but he is a hell of a guy and you made a great choice sending your business to him!
 
I am getting a valve job while I'm in there, they are gonna port the bowls and exhaust ports, he was just saying whatever he took off the head head would match that on the valves to keep them just like they were!

I want to o-ring it, but there isn't anyone aroudn here to do it, so I might just leave the truck down another week and take the head with me to Beans dyno day if someone can do it!

I ordered a stock gasket, but if they take more than .008 off the head then I am gonna send it back and order a .020 gasket! we will just see when I get the head back! I wante to go ahead a out valve stem seals and open the valves up a bit,

Oh yeah, Jeff has been great I have been bugging him all week and he has probably spent 3hrs on the phone with me answering my questions!
