possible head gasket leak?

well I found it! it's leaking almost exactly like the pics! sooo... oh boy it's really not a good time for this!

Yanking the head is easy cheesy, just clean the cowl area really good before you even start to keep crap out of the motor.

well the head is off! the bridge has some pretty good carbon on the front of the bridge, looks like this ***** has been lifting a while!

the plastic bushing on one of the rocker feet is missing? anyone had this problem? or can you just get another one!

I'll be porting tomorrow, carbide is badass!
 
The head gasket looks almost identical to MD-Lucky's, my question is: the head has a pit in it the comes from the fire ring to front of head on Cyl 1, is it possible the piston is passing oil? or is this normal HG failure?
 
I cleaned the old gasket today and found the pit ran from the oil return to the fire ring to the front of the head! but my pistons are pretty dirty compared to md-lucky's!

I ported the exhaust manifold and cut to deep on cyl 3 and 4, and had to weld above and below to fill it in! if it cracks it cracks i'll just buy another manifold but the ***** looks like it can actually breath now! I am starting on the housing tommorrow, pics to come!

What did the machinist say about the head ?

he said he though the pit might have came from the Cyl, but I cleaned the old gasket and figured out it was flowing from the return to the fire ring to the front of the head! He didn't really say how much he though he would take off, but he did say he would make the valves match it! If he only takes off less than .008 then I'll run the stocker but if he takes more then I'll probably get a marine gasket! I forgot to call you back, is everything on the way?

Yes it is. I shipped it out Thursday. You'll see the stuff Monday.
